Opportunities for Connection

Hi Loves,

I don’t think it could be more spectacular today in Tahoe! I haven’t seen clear skies like this in a while. Hallelujah! I hope you all are taking some time today to be outside and enjoy YOU. There is nothing like getting outside to connect us to the truth of who we are. I know it was hard for many of us to see our trails so busy this summer even fall, but isn’t it good for us ALL to be out connecting with Mama Earth? Aren’t we more likely to care for her when we have that divine connection?

I love that more and more people are choosing to honor Indigenous Peoples’ Day tomorrow instead of Columbus Day. The Indigenous People of the past were so beautifully connected to Mama Earth and we can get back to that every time we walk out of our houses, get out of our cars, shoeless preferred, stride around on her, or even better, crawl around on her or my favorite lay belly to belly with her. Nothing like laying down on warm granite. Ahhh!

I finally have my house back to some order so I can offer my virtual class for Namaste tomorrow morning 7:30-8:45am Nervous System Reset. Would love to have you join me in celebrating Indigenous Peoples’ Day. Sign up at www.namastetruckee.com

If you need something beautiful and touching to watch this week that is so healing for the heart, I can’t say enough about My Octopus Teacher. You can find it on Netflix. Even Tessa enjoyed the documentary. The film is a part of the Sea Change Project, protecting the South African Kelp Forest. Check out www.seachangeproject.com.

If weather is still like it has been, I plan on offering class at Tahoe Cross Country this Thursday. We had a beautiful group of women last week. This might be our last one! I also plan on offering The Practice this Friday.

Lastly, it’s Tahoe Cross Country’s Annual Trail Work Day this Saturday, Oct.17. We will be buffing out trails and getting things ready for ski season. Whether you enjoy TXC in the summer, winter, both or never, it is so fun to be in community working together for everyone’s benefit. Kids that need community service hours, this is a great opportunity. Sign up if you want to join, www.tahoexc.org. Or email ben@tahoexc.org.

So much love to all of you!

Namaste,
Shari
